On any given night, there are over 600,000 homeless people in the United States, according to the US Department of Housing and Urban Development. Most of these are spending the night either in shelters or in some sort of short-term transitional housing. Slightly more than a third are living in cars or under bridges. The need for blankets, especially this time of year, is great. Please use the marked bin in our fellowship hall to donate new blankets this month in an effort to help meet a desperate need.
