The other day I recieved an response to a blog site that I have. The person said I was a Loser! The comment did not surprise me. It was from someone I know who was deeply decieved into believing a lie about my ministry. I am sure there are quite a few people out there who may want to call me a "loser" and perhaps even worse.
As I thought about this comment several things occurred to me. First, that God loves this person and so do I. Second, that I have to forgive this person. And then last, that Jesus was called much worse and was nailed to a tree.
THe persecution of being called a "loser" is nothing in comparison to what Jesus went through. In fact it is an honor to be called a "loser" because Jesus said you must loose your life to gain it! So I guess what was hurled as an accussation actually served as an affirmation. Thank God I am Such A Loser!

For whoever wants to save his life will lose it; and whoever will lose his life for my sake and the sake of the Good News will save it.
We should all be losers.
Also, consider the source. Whoever is following a false teacher has been seduced by lies from the father of lies. They aren’t really in their right minds. They need our prayers as much as someone who has been in a serious accident or someone who has had a heart attack.
In fact, this person, who used to be our friend, HAS had a bit of a heart attack. Their hearts have been attacked by the evil one and they need Christ and His Truth to be healed.
Let’s continue to pray that people’s eyes will be opened to see the FRUIT that is produced by this church and the FRUIT that is being produced by the enemy and those he has led astray.
We should always look at the fruit to see what kind of vine is producing it.
Galatians 5
19The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.
22But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, 23gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.
We all need to emphasize that whoever wants to come back home will be welcomed just as the prodigal son was welcomed… the prodigal son returned and humbly asked his father for the crumbs from the table… symbolic of forgiveness.
The father met the son with open arms, ready to forgive and receive him despite his recklessness.
We need to be ready to welcome those who secretly wish to return in the same way.
Jesus said that the people of God will be despised and reviled for His name’s sake.
