Have you been watching the olympics? I have! They are great. It is really an awesome thing to watch the world’s best compete. It is honoring to watch people who have proven to excel at a disipline in their life. And it is humbling to watch as they either make it to the victory stand or leave to only train harder for the next race. Regardless they are all winners! They all are champions!

However, one race stands out. I won’t mention names, but you will know. In the women’s cross snowboarding finals a perfect example of never giving up presented itself right before our eyes.

The race was all but won. A huge lead. A simple coast to the finish and the gold would be around the champions neck. However, in a moment of excitment on the last jump she pulled a small manuever that made her loose her balance and fall. Guess what the person in second never quit. She pressed toward the finish line and ended up winning the gold.

We can learn many things from this Olympic event. So of the lessons are left on the course. Some will haunt the person who lost the gold. Althought they shouldn’t. But what should enter all of our minds is that we should never give up. It truly isn’t over until it is really over…you have heard the expression, "It ain’t over until the fat lady sings."
