General Policies:  Broadman Baptist Church has a Church Handbook (Draft 2008), Children/Youth, and Ministry Description Handbook (Drafting) that give specific operating guidelines.  The Deacon body serves the Body of Christ as servant leaders ministering to assigned families fulfilling the Biblical aspect of Deacon in the church.  The Church Council serves as a pastoral advisory team for all the ministries of the church helping the pastor fulfill the Biblical aspect of being the Elder of the Church.  

From time to time it may be necessary to establish a policy in writing because the Handbooks may not specifically cover an area that needs direction.  In such cases those policies, if needed will be placed under this section.  However, in most cases the pastor, pastoral staff, church council and/or deacon body should be able to establish standard operating procedures for the good of the church.  These procedures may not necessarily be in writing.
